Greetings from Holland!

We had a very warm Easter weekend in Cuijk at the Holland Dans Spektakel. It was nice to meet old friends, and new friends as well :-)

The competition was tough this year. We reached the semi-finals, but not the finals (as we'd hoped for). We finished 8th. It was still an OK result, given the facts - it was our 2nd competition ever, and the first one in the amateurs class.

Now we just have to start training again, and try to do better next time :-)

Welcome to our new blog about wheelchair dancing. Here you can read our thoughts about wheelchair dancing in general, impressions from competitions, shows, performances, training sessions and so on.

Right now we are preparing ourselves for our 2nd international competition, the Holland Dans Spektakel in Cuijk, the Netherlands. Last year we got the gold medal in the Debutants class. Now we’re competing in the Amateurs class, so we don’t expect to have that kind of success this time. But it would be really nice to reach the finals.

...and then we fly to Amsterdam! On Sunday 24.th we are competing in Holland Dans spektakel. We have been practising a lot, but who knows if it's enough... at least I have a hunger for success as last year went so well. A gold medal is probably not a realistic goal this year, but it would be nice to be in the final. If only I remember to hold my head high and look like a queen... :)
